Dental Hygienist

After graduating from the Medical College of Virginia, Terry worked in Williamsburg and Warrenton before bringing her skills to Roanoke.

Terry’s primary responsibilities include preventive dental care as well as periodontal care such as exams, scaling and root planing. But she says the most important thing she does is educate patients. She enjoys getting to know patients and has found over the years that patients, too, are a wealth of knowledge.

Her daughter studies at Savannah College of Art and Design, and Terry has two cats. She’s a HUGE Carolina Hurricanes hockey fan (also known as a Caniac), and if it’s game day, she probably has a ‘Canes shirt on under her lab coat!

Dental Hygienist

Sheli enjoys working with patients as she cleans their teeth, teaches them about good oral hygiene, and answers any questions or concerns they have. In general, she wants to address anything that needs attention to ensure a patient’s dental and overall health.

When she’s not at the dental office, you might find her working on her farm.

Dental Hygienist

Tina gets a sense of fulfillment from taking care of each patient with the highest quality of care that she can provide. She focuses on each patient’s individual needs and concerns.

During her nearly four-decade career, Tina has practiced in many states and gained many lasting experiences and friendships that she wouldn’t trade for the world.

Outside the office, Tina enjoys time at her house on Smith Mountain Lake, where her family boats, kayaks, and enjoys the peace that comes from being on the water. They also spend time at their house in the West Virginia mountains, where they ski and hike. She and her husband are grateful to call these places home, and they love to share them with family and friends.

Dental Assitant

Whitney greets patients and gets them comfortable in the exam room. You’ll often see her during procedures as she preps patients, assists Dr. Kreger, then prepares the exam room and dental instruments for the next patient. She also works with patients to get impressions and x-rays.

Office Manager

Carol’s job is to keep the business side of the practice running by paying the bills, balancing the checkbook, posting payments, and submitting payroll and retirement deposit information.

Carol also schedules patients for appointments and helps them set up payment plans when necessary. She works with the rest of the staff to ensure that patients’ dental needs are met and that they have a positive experience in the office.

As a pediatric nurse practitioner, Carol finds it uplifting when parents bring their young children to their first dental visit then continue to schedule appointments on a regular basis to develop and maintain good dental health.

Carol loves spending time with her family, which is made even more exciting by her new granddaughter. She and her husband enjoy cooking, baking, spending time outdoors, sitting by the fireplace, reading and exercising. They also love traveling to busy cities.

Jane works in the front office, scheduling appointments, troubleshooting insurance issues and posting payments. She enjoys interacting with patients and loves how patients often become friends over the years. Jane works along with the rest of the staff to make the office warm, friendly, helpful, and efficient, always making patient care the top priority.

Jane began her dental career in a dental lab. After becoming a certified dental assistant, she began working on the clinical side and completed her degree in Liberal Arts.

Family and friends are a priority for Jane. She is also an auxiliary volunteer at Fincastle Fire Department, enjoys college football, and loves her pets.

Dental Front Office

Lucy’s is the friendly face you see when you arrive at Huffman & Kreger Family Dentistry. She is all about creating a positive patient experience, whether it’s answering the phone, scheduling appointments, keeping things organized, or checking patients out. Even when the office gets busy, she always has time for patient questions and wants to do whatever she can to make sure patients have a pleasant visit.

Lucy worked as a dental assistant for a year before obtaining her certification in Medical Billing & Coding. She’s now found her calling, and her clinical experience makes her even more effective as a biller and coder.
